‘Venom 3’ To Have ‘Ted Lasso’s Juno Temple Takes the Lead in Sony and Marvel’s Movie

Emmy winner Juno Temple appears to have established a strong global brand following the conclusion of her popular Apple series Ted Lasso, as she is currently negotiating to co-star in Sony and Marvel’s Venom 3. Kelly Marcel, the franchise’s longtime writer, will take on the directing job, and Tom Hardy will return to the role of the title character.

Temple and Sony’s representatives chose not to comment on the casting.

She and Hardy will both write the screenplay, and Marcel will also serve as producer. Hutch Parker, Amy Pascal, Matt Tolmach, and Avi Arad are additional producers.

Plot information are still unknown, save from the fact that Tom Hardy is returning as Venom, the deadly protector, after the first two movies’ combined global box office receipts of $1.36 billion. It’s also unknown if any Marvel characters from the Sony Pictures Universe will make an appearance in the film or who will replace Hardy in his previous films.

Unknown is the role that Temple will play.

Although Temple appeared in movies such as Vinyl, Killer Joe, and Atonement, it was her depiction of the lovable Keeley Jones in Apple’s wildly successful series Ted Lasso that helped establish her as a promising leading lady. Obtaining this coveted position, according to sources, proves that Temple was the producers’ first choice for the part.

Temple has already been putting in a lot of effort to get that forthcoming slate ready, starting with the well-liked FX anthology series Fargo as the show comes to an end. The fifth season of Noah Hawley’s television series, which is due to wrap up filming, will have her as its lead.
