‘Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny’ Unveils Screen Runtime, To Be The Longest Indiana Jones Film

The duration of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been made public, making it the longest adventure film to date.

Indiana Jones’ most recent adventure lasts two hours and 33 minutes, or 153 minutes. The news source points out that producer Kathleen Kennedy stated in April that the running length of Indiana Jones 5 would be 142 minutes, or two hours and 22 minutes, thus the revised running time may be the consequence of including the film’s credits.

The Dial of Destiny is now the longest installment in the franchise. The lengths of The Last Crusade (128 minutes), The Temple of Doom (118 minutes), Raiders of the Lost Ark (115 minutes), and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (122 minutes) are used as comparisons.

Harrison Ford returns to one of his most recognizable roles as the title character in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, an Emmy and Golden Globe winner, co-stars with him as the female protagonist. Other franchise newcomers Antonio Banderas, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson are also introduced in the last episode.

The movie is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 30, 2023.
