‘Justice League: Warworld’ Unveils First Look and Cast List

 In the forthcoming animated film Justice League: Warworld, heroes will go to battle. It’s already been confirmed who will be voicing the classic DC Comics heroes of Warlord, including Jensen Ackles and Darren Criss.


Justice League: Warworld will be the eleventh entry in the Tomorrowverse, a new realm of animated DC entertainment created after the DC Animated Movie realm concluded. The film will follow DC’s trinity as they are kidnapped from their homes and forced to compete in a gladiatorial battle on Mongul’s Warworld. 

Ackles will reprise his Batman role from Batman: The Long Halloween and Legion of Superheroes. Following the events of Justice Society: World War II, Criss will reprise his role as Superman from Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and Stana Katic will voice Wonder Woman. 

Warworld is planned to bring together characters from the DC animated universe. Including Jensen Ackles as Batman, Darren Criss as Superman, Troy Baker as Jonah Hex, Stana Katic as Wonder Woman, Ike Amadi as Martian Manhunter/J’onn J’onzz, and Trevor Devall as Drifter. The cast also features Matt Bomer as Old Man, Brett Dalton as Bat Lash, Frank Grillo as Agent Faraday, David Lodge as Sheriff, Roger C. Cross as Machiste, John DiMaggio as Lobo, Teddy Sears as Warlord, and Damian O’Hare as Deimos and Rachel Kimsey as Mariah Romanova. Mongul, played by Robin Atkin Downes, will be the film’s antagonist. The film is directed by Jeff Wamester, who also directed Legion of Super-Heroes, and written by Jeremy Adams. 

The eleventh film in the Tomorrowverse will star Ernie Altbacker and Josie Campbell. The film’s release date has not been established, although it is expected this summer.
